2008 EFD Engine Specifications
July 14, 2008 - 09:00 hrs.

Attention Fire Engine Manufacturers: The Eaton Fire Protection District has put together the Intent of Specifications for it's new apparatus.

W e are so pleased you could come to visit. You will find in this site, a wealth of information about us and our enemy....Fire. Our humble Department began on January 1,1914 when Colorado was a bit less populated. Today, our Fire / Rescue is a very busy little unit covering 64 square miles responding to many calls that range from a minor - major Medical / Fire / Haz-Mat events. All of our members spend countless hours training, updating themselves on the latest trends in the fire service. We mandate that members of our department be Certified State EMT-B & Fire Fighter 1 State Certified. We pride ourselves in providing the best service possible to the citizens / tax payers of our district when we are dispatched by the Weld County Dispatch Center in north Greeley. We are bordered by other excellent Fire Districts including Ault / Pierce to the north, Windsor / Severance to the west, Galeton to the east and Union Colony Fire Authority to the south. The brotherhood / sisterhood of these departments will help us when the "HEAT" is on with mutual aid assistance. We are also called upon from time to time to help them as well, whenever they need us. Lastly, but certainly not least, we receive much help from Weld County Ambulance & North Colorado Med Evac (formerly Air Life) personnel throughout the year with our many emergency medical calls and traffic accidents.

EFD Members from 1921In early "1999", this web site was put together & recently reconditioned - updated. It was constructed for everyone we serve in the Eaton Fire Protection District as well as the members of our Combination Department. We found that with our fast paced population growth, there were many new people who recently moved to our community that knew very little about us. Our desire is that this site will aid in helping people new to the area get better acquainted with us. We also want this site to help folks who have lived here for awhile to keep up with what is going on with the local fire department and it's activities. We hope that you take the time periodically to look us up and see whats going on at Eaton Fire. We hope that your web visit with us is enjoyable. If you ever have any questions about us or our organization, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your continued support of our team of dedicated men and women firefighters. God Bless this great country we live in!
